ODACON®
Film-Forming Amines
ODACON® is a surface-active Film-Forming Amine Product (FFAP) developed by Reicon to protect the entire steam-water cycle. Unlike traditional treatments that rely on oxygen scavengers and neutralising agents, ODACON® forms a hydrophobic, mono- or bi-molecular protective film on all metal surfaces – shielding them from corrosion, scaling, and deposits.
Biodegradable and non-toxic, ODACON® offers a sustainable alternative to conventional chemical dosing while improving system reliability and thermal performance.
Why Choose ODACON®?
- Protects the full steam-water cycle – including boilers, steam lines, and condensate systems
- Reduces corrosion, including FAC (flow-accelerated corrosion) and stress corrosion cracking
- Minimises iron transport and blowdown losses
- Improves heat transfer efficiency through drop condensation
- Shortens commissioning time and eliminates the need for additional preservation chemicals
- Fully biodegradable, NSF-certified, and safe for sensitive environments
- Removes corrosion-active deposits and porous oxide layers
